J1-400II centre lathe

A bit of a long shot but I'm hoping someone can help me locate the forward/reverse switch on my J1-400II centre lathe. The manual gives a general idea of where it is but searching with mirrors & lights have shown nothing.

About 2/3 way through he reverses it but the control he activates is off camera.
