I have pulled conveyor out of machine and cleaned out tank and chips off of belt. The belt will not move forward or backward. I fear there are chips stuck underneath the belt. Any thoughts on an 'easy' remedy?

Prolly got something figgered out by now, but if it was a Turbo Conveyor, I would say that you dropped a spacer and it got pinched. A Jorgensen is likely the same problem, but I've never had that issue with a Jorgensen.

Just gotta force it. Most likely backwards.

On my Turbo's (POS's) when they start to git stuck like that, I run backwards for some time, and then you can hear a spacer(s) jingle around up in the head end, stuck inside. I drill a 3/8" hole, then a 3/4" EMT knock-out, and then you can see up in there, and reach in with a magnet/stick to fetch the offenders out.

I know that the OP has pulled a Garbo, but thought that I would add a pic to show what I have done to all of my Turbo's.

Pop that hole behind the pillow block there, and run it backwards for a while, and it will bring your MIA bushings up to the top and they will get caught in the endless hamster wheel, and then you can fetch'm out with a magnet.

If you are not the adventurous type, it is OK to turn the conveyor off while using the magnet.
Or even run it back FWD for a few inches to bring them back to view.
