My first time posting. I am not a machinist. I ran radial drills for a large company. This is my first lathe. South Bend 10". Catalog No. 187YN, Serial No. #150498. We both need a little help. (The lathe and I). I would like to download an operators manual, or buy one. I would like a little advice. Thank You

I second the rebuild kit . You don't want to be powering up that spindle until you know that it has wicks that working .

Thanks. That is good advice. No motor or drive pulley came with it. I am cleaning up and painting the cabinet now. I have a 120/240 volt, 1725 rpm motor but am not sure if that is the right speed.

Yes 1725 RPM motor is the right one, looks like that lathe was left out side for a while....
