I'd guess it is a NN model, based on this pdf on vintagemachinery.org. In which case it starts at 21,500 for a 60" between centers model and goes up by 1100lbs per 2 ft addition. I'd say this is at least an 84" between centers, maybe more. Not too far away, but bigger than my trailer will haul!I'm guessing it weighs around 18,000#
How close is that guess?
At this point that, unfortunately, is pretty much the kiss of death. Getting a rigger in there in the next few days would be a real challenge. Sad.They said it weighs 17,000 lbs and they have no way to load
In the first picture there loos to be a crack in the headstock casting between the second and third mounting screw (R-L), and possible leakage. All the raiser blocks look to be done second hand. Monarch would have raised them in the sand and not used blocks. This could have cause the crack in the headstock. I question what shape this lathe is in and if it would be worth savaging or just used to part out.

One of our Monarch lathes has the same identical block under the gear box, right down the riveted tag of the left side. the tail stock riser is different though. In the first picture there loos to be a crack in the headstock casting between the second and third mounting screw (R-L), and possible leakage. All the raiser blocks look to be done second hand. Monarch would have raised them in the sand and not used blocks. This could have cause the crack in the headstock.
