laser welding: double pendulum vs single pendulum

Hi,

Im about to buy my first laser welder, and I'm totally new to laser welding. It will be bought from China as I'm living in Vietnam and there are no local manufactures of laser welders here. As I'm on a a tight budget, a packade containing a 1500W laser (Raycus or RECI brand), an Au3tech HW970 gun that comes with a wire feeder, is what looks most attractive for me now. RECI has super good reputation when it comes to CO2 lasers as it seems, but are new on fiber, but it saves me 400 usd compared to the more established Raycus, but RECI offer much better warranties (unit replacement before taking old one back (at their cost) if broken during the 2 years warranty time).

We will weld Alu 5052 and 5086 1mm and 3mm for a marin equipment that i have designed. Weld esthetic is not prioritized but strength is. We have a few very long butt welds (1mm), but most welds are fillet welds.

The seller is trying to add on a double pendulum gun instead of the single pendulum gun that is included for an additional 500 usd. From what i can read, it is mostly an esthetical feature. I'm probably wrong so I would love to hear what you more experience laser welders have to say about the equipment above and double pendulum vs single pendulum.

Thanks,
Zazz

Laser welders are pretty niche, and people who are familiar with using them may not be familiar with the particular model. Can you share an image of the two configurations showing the difference you are talking about?
