I don't know but it's a nice one. A lot more going on than your garden variety Barnes, Seneca Falls, Young, etc.

Hello,

The lathe is a Baldwin. Made in Laconia NH. Made in around 1870 ish. Source-AMERICAN FOOT POWER AND HAND POWER MACHINERY by Kenneth L. Cope. Page 9 fig 15.

Very nice lathe and also rare.

I own a Baldwin lathe just like the one shown however mine does not have the treadle wheel or components… I do believe you could have gotten this lathe lineshaft driven or maybe just adapt it over as shown in this old image. Note the interesting milling attachment! Also when I get more time I will share some other interesting facts and features about this lathe… I will start a new thread as to not hijack this one.
