I have a Clausing Mascot 17x80 lathe currently. Decent size machine, I rebuilt the whole thing. I just never use the length of the capacity. I do occasionally do large diameter work, and the 3" spindle bore is beautiful. I am looking for a replacement lathe with something around a 40" Z capacity something along the lines of a 17" X capacity but the spindle bore needs to be at least 3". I almost bought a Nardini lathe that was suited for flange work (large X over 17", 40ish Z, and about a 4" bore). I would like to find something similar, a newer lathe no ancient pieces. I was looking for some suggestions. I know there are driveshaft lathes out there with large bores, but that is not what I am looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a Victor 2060-S at work. It seems to be a solid piece. (Taiwanese) The only part I'm not fond of is it is not "clutched" like the Promaster I use, which has been rebranded as "Summit" now.
