I'm hoping to find a reputable local outfit that specializes in reconditioning machines. I'm looking to purchase a mill and possibly have some work done on my Lathe. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Might want to mention your budget range and what degree of work you want done on the lathe.
My current lathe may not be worth dumping a ton of money into. I’m going to try to get it running so I can test everything out and come up with a plan. The plan may end up being sell current lathe and buy something else.

In the meantime I’m probably going to budget around 5k for a mill.

Did you find someone???
There are a few companies in the area that sell reconditioned machines, but I'm hoping to find some reviews. I'm hoping to avoid buying something that looks great cosmetically, but wasn't really done right. I see fresh paint and even some flaking on the ways of some 'reconditioned' machines in my area, but it's hard for my untrained eye to tell if they were done properly or just a 'lipstick on a pig' type of thing.
