Machining Hardened 17-4 Rings

I make some crown style can opener blades. The 17-4 is nice to work with in a sheet ( 16ga).
It's a little tough to roll.
After welding it stiffens, and helps the blade part hold a good edge.
Not bad at all to machine

That is slick. Just punch the top of a can all in one go?

Do you heat treat after forming and welding?

I warm up the cutting edges to a blue color. Then, use scotchbrite to clean and sharpen with a file.
They open 2 to 3 thousand cans a day.
The opener has a an air cylinder.
I also make some for gallon cans.
