Our VTC decided not to start up this morning. The control comes to life but there is a 219 alarm - "Main transformer overheat" This apparently happens when a temperature exceeds 120° C. The machine has been cold all weekend and is still cold this morning. I know there is a temperature sensor in the transformer box. Should this be normally open or closed. I have tried disconnecting the feeds to see if I can trick it into starting up but no luck. Does any one know if there is another sensor I should be looking at?

Thanks

Will

i do not know your specific machine
but
most common would be a normally closed signal meaning jumper to silence alarm
I would say you are looking at right sensor which probly needs replaced

Thanks, after digging around and metering out the circuit it would appear that it is normally closed and is fed by 24 volts which then feeds into the relay panel. I had 24 volts to the plug. Switched the KAROHT relay and off the machine went.

I just had this error today, my resolution was to replace the 24v power supply. Hope this helps others.

Thanks
