I ran mv1200s 40 hours a week for 2 years. Solid, accurate machines. But you need to follow the maintenance plan, just like any other wire machine.

With Mitsubishi, you have to be willing to 'join the club' to obtain parts & service from the OEM - I don't know the details of the yearly cost, but if you're considering buying a Mits, you should find out how much it is, and factor it into your decision.

I believe it was a one-time fee of $1500 to register my first used EDM with Mitsubishi, that was 10yrs ago. No further charges for the next 7 machines I registered since..

Their support is exceptional and would recommend their machines just for this reason.

I think we changed our minds now going for the 2400. Is there any options one needs to get ?

I was at IMTS this week and checked out Mits wires for the first time, pretty impressive machines. They had an MV4800s burning a 32in. tall part and another guy running .0008 wire on an MX600 submerged in oil.
