He is asking $21k. A few pics and text of add:

Monarch series 50 model 16 lathe.

New 1973, this machine has less than 2000 hours on it, possibly half that. It is in excellent condition, the paint is original, the ways are like new. This lathe was purchased new in 1973 by the Badger Army Ammunition Plant (BAAP) for a project that never happened. Shortly thereafter, the plant was shut down and this lathe was coated with cosmoline without ever making a single chip. I bought it from BAAP about 10 years ago. The tail stock and accessories were still laying in the chip pan on crepe paper dated August 1973. I am the sole operator and it has led a gentle life. Everything works perfectly. I have decided to sell it because it is much bigger than what I need for my business and I am downsizing.

16" swing over bed, 10" carriage, 78" between centers

Hey Guys,
One of the members here contacted me to let me know there was some discussion about the lathe I'm selling. It is definitely a D1-6 camlock spindle. I don't know why, but Monarch made them with only three studs. I had to remove three studs from my chuck to mount it. The stud diameter is .875".

I listed it on this forum a couple months ago and bumped it once. However, I haven't been an active member here for several years and didn't want to abuse the advertising policy here, so I let the listing fade away.

Thanks again for your interest and compliments.

Hi Rob,
I'm not on here enough to know how to copy paste a link. However, you can easily find the listing by searching the Machinery For Sale forum for Monarch.

Rakort, I see you are in WI. I'm an hour north of Madison. If you are up for a road trip, you are welcome to stop in for a visit.

Thanks again,

John

I'd love to come visit, I'm an hour north of you! Have you been working on those steam locomotives down there? I'm afraid if I do afterwards I'd be at the bank trying to take out a 2nd mortgage on the house to buy this fine machine!

Hi Rob,
Thanks again for attaching the link.

rakort,
Just leave your wallet at home and come on over, the invitation remains open. You must be in the Tomah area, being an hour north of me.

Have a great weekend, everyone.
