This is as close to new American iron as you are likely to find. Every machinist who has ever visited my shop has been thoroughly impressed with this lathe. Come take a look, you won't be disappointed.

New 1973, this machine has less than 2000 hours on it, possibly half that. It is in excellent condition, the paint is original, the ways are like new. This lathe was purchased new in 1973 by the Badger Army Ammunition Plant (BAAP) for a project that never happened. Shortly thereafter, the plant was shut down and this lathe was coated with cosmoline without ever making a single chip. There it sat in a heated shop for over 30 years. I bought it from BAAP about 12 years ago. The tail stock and accessories were still laying in the chip pan on crepe paper dated August 1973. I am the sole operator and it has led a gentle life. Everything works perfectly. I have decided to sell it because it is much bigger than what I need for my business and I am downsizing.

10HP DC Motor - 440v
RPM 30 - 1800
D1-6 Spindle
Threads 120 - 2
Feeds .0009 - .0524

Includes micrometer, carriage stop, taper attachment, chuck shield, steady rest, follow rest. All original, all like new.

Newall c80 DRO Z Axis is 60"

Let me know if you need help stepping up your supply voltage, I can set you up. This lathe is still in service and will remain so until it is sold.

Thank you for the wishes. I thought I'd try pricing it at ~2/3 the price of a similarly sized, new, Taiwanese/Chinese lathe; figuring, which would I rather buy. I have several more pictures I can email to interested parties.
