Mori cycle start button disable

Does anyone know if there is maybe a keep relay that will disable the cycle start button with the panel lock keyswitch? As it is now, the keyswitch will lock the operator panel buttons. But not that button. Mapps/Fanuc18i NH5000

I imagine because the setup isn't proven out and the set up man wants to make sure swing shift doesn't come in and hit cycle start.

Because we are literally scraping the bottom of the barrel on new hires.
The pallet ready button at the operators station is all this operator needs.

The ding dong I have running that machine wants to go finger blast the cycle start button, and has no hope of having a clue of what he is doing with it.
Its either fire them, or take away some f-up potential. Very near miss at 6am today.

I found a keep relay (0.4) in the paper ladder but it just causes an alarm to be raised if you press cycle start while the key is in edit mode.

Sounds like you need to cutout a metal plate with holes at the buttons he is allowed to push and lock it to the controller

no holes, there would be no holes.

You can put the keyswitch in off , which only leaves one "hole".

Easy to add another keyswitch to lock out cycle start. Also easy to use the existing keyswitch if you have onboard ladder editing capability
