Moves not in the program causing problems. How do I stop them?

I am running format 1. I will try format 2 and see if it helps Thanks!
Finally someone listened to me about the moves the machine makes that are NOT in the program!
yes fadals do crazy stuff in fadal format, stupid crazy moves that don't make sense, do a reset
g0 3000, to clean memory, remove garbage from control and use fanuc style program.

I take all the home movements out and just put in small G0 movements. Its like the M30 has a parameter attached to it that automatically homes the machine out in Z whether you want to or not. If I put too big a G0 Z movement in it will error out when it homes.

I've never looked further into this just tweak the programs and run with what it does. On extended Z machines it gets quite annoying. I'm sure there is a rhym and reason it does it just has never been high on the priority list to figure out.
Sounds like your in G90 mode in format 1

I dont know that you want it solved. You havent posted 1 single program. Definitely not a linear path to absolution just a bunch of bullshitting and conjecture. But that is half the discussion boards

these fadals can do some weird things behind the scenes some of which i still haven't figured out why.....

first off go into command mode and type in setp and see what format you are in you want to be in format 2. several times i've brought in fadals and forgot about the formats and it'll screw with your programs and movements.

at the end of my programs i always do a G0 movement to move the table to a good position to stop if I put too big a Z move I've had it limit out on Z even when I take the Z home movement out of the code.

Some things on the Fadals I just put up with as there are bigger problems to deal with....
My Fadal has never made a single move it was not commanded to do.

I have been very busy lately programming, setting up and running parts and have had no time to respond to this thread. To everyone that tried to help me Thank You Very Much!!
I have found a work around that works great and requires no extra effort.
First I raised my tool touch off post 2" and then I started programming all my parts calling the bottom zero instead of the top. That's it I have not alarmed out since I started using this tactic.
The machine still makes dumb moves during tool changes and I dont really care as I am almost used to them.
I dont have the time to figure out why.
One day I did put one of my programs into one of our production Fadals and it acted normal so I am convinced someone played with my machine and this is the reason it acts so strangely.

Thanks all

Use fanuc style, fadal style has very good routines, I fall in love for the simplicity of bore-out
good stuff, but when countering made scrap parts, after expensive part repair, welding and
re-machining, kind of got away by rotating geometry, so there no similar points in profiles,
So i switched to fanuc style, problem solved, but........... i miss their routines, has good stuff
but fanuc is the way to fly.
