Mp8 probe shows not touching when it is touching???

I just installed a touch probe mp8 on my fadal using a mi12 and a omm. It is working backwards. When it is not touching it says it is and when it is touching it says it’s not.
Any ideas im fresh out other than trying a different omm from another machine i have.

Download the installation guide for the Mi12 off the www. There are NO and NC connections that are a combination of Terminal Strip Location (2 choices) and DIP Switch settings. (More than 2 choices)

There are Probe Status setups and Skip setups. The Skip being a Pulse version of the Status connection. Some machines like pulses and some like steady state. And really, many will do either. (There is a timing chart in the manual that depicts this.)

In MI12 (diagram attached) simply move all wires connected to terminal 14 to terminal 23, and all wires connected to terminal 15 to terminal 24 (or vice versa).
Electronics is simple: or open, or close circuit. Generally that's all.
