Looks good. I may have to have an online auction when I sell my building just to get everything out quick enough. So, I'm curious...did they help with setting up tooling, descriptions, pictures, etc...or did you do that part all yourself ? My auction would be way larger and therefore a nightmare if I had to do all that stuff myself.

I've been to one of Branford Group's auctions and, while I can't say I have much against which to compare them, I thought that they were very professional and well organized.

They are just finishing setting everything up. The pictures you see are only a fraction of the entire auction. I'm selling a bunch of Hermann Schmidt and Harig items that arre pristine! You'll be quite suprised as to what will be available! They separated everything into lot boxes - approximately 600 of them - and now will number and take a picture of each lot. Then they will give a description to each lot and get it on their website. They will send out emails and mail flyers to all their clients. These guys from Branford Group know the machining business well and did a great job organizing all my "stuff". Keep checking their website - sometime next week the itemized details will be there...

Are they close enough to just drive over to your place ? If so, that would be my biggest problem...being in Dogpatch, SC the closest good auctioneer would be Asset Sales near Charlotte, NC...but last time I checked even though they know me, they were not inclined to do any dealer auctions. (which is ironic considering all the dealer partnerships they are involved in on regular plant auctions, but I am probably too small fry for them anyway unless they just happened to hit a slow spell)

They are 45 minute drive from me but they go all over the country. I don't think they would consider too many things "small fry". if they do, I think they can combine your items with a larger auction...

You do realize that pretty much all your posts are sales or asking about stuff you then sell

Hi Mebfab,
I do realize that but I need to move all this equipment in order to get my Haas CNC Mill. Then you'll be seeing more questions than you want to see from asking about and sharing my experiences programming and running the CNC. I can stop posting about the auction if it's against policy - I apologize if I'm crossing the lines here. I really need to move these items and think the items being offered here can be extremely beneficial for most anyone looking to save a buck on new and used equipment.

That fact makes your statement on the auction "after 30 years retiring.." seem a little misleading...even if it is literally true, still creates the impression of someone who just wants to get rid of it all no matter what...which isn't the case apparently. But you tell me...maybe I'm wrong.

Reminds me of the Romney ad about Chrysler "taking Jeep to China" BS... true in a contorted sort of way, but very misleading as to is really going on since it's actually a good thing that Chrysler is opening another plant in China to make Jeeps for the Chinese market in China while retaining all USA operations for other markets.

I agree, that might be slightly misleading, but don't let that stop you from viewing what's available next week. You'll see shelves full of pin gauges and gauge blocks, Mahr (Federal) bore gauge kits, Hermann Schmidt vises and magnetic sine plates, Gershner tool boxes, boxes of indicators, micrometers from 1.0" thru 18", Mitutoyo Cadillac height gauge, Mitutoyo digital height gauge, 41" Etalon vernier caliper, digital and vernier calipers, blade mics, several Dumore grinders with many deep hole attachments, Volstro millin heads, Kurt vises, precision tool maker's vises, tool scopes, unbelievable selection of collets including Jacobs rubber sets, 6 jaw, 4 jaw and 3 jaw chucks, endless amount of Jacob drill chucks, endmills, endmills and more endmills...
