My little machine shop in Denmark - started Dec 2018.

This weekend haven't been busy so I've been cleaning and getting air to the machines proper and not on the floor.

Lathes are turning in the shop. The mill not so much.

It's all good. I haven't been turning alot and I like doing it. It's fun learning new stuff. This old okuma really is getting me. It's amazing how smart this old control is. I love the igf programming.

And I got a sign up on the building [emoji16][emoji106]

Not been to busy in the shop the last few weeks. Only a few small jobs.

I got to make 360 of these small pistons. It's dreadful and repetitive but it's a job. [emoji23]

Been kicking in doors looking for new customers.

I really want some more jobs with some meat on the bone. Had one job a few weeks alot with alot of stainless parts that needed to be machines on the lb15.

Making 360 is these little. Booring job and they are to thin for my barfeeder. But they pay good money for simple job.

And I got a new customer this week hope they will be sending some more work after these holidays

All the best. You have done what I have always been too scared to do - take a chance.

yeah i can be alittle scare and stressful but you grow with the task i think..

I love it and i am so happy that i work full time in my own shop..

I payed my first own paycheck for myself this month... that was pretty darn satisfying :)

ok so i ran into the first real machine problems... some funny stuff about the card that controls the rs232 to my okuma started friday morning..

and trying to fix it i had to turn on and off the machine alot.. that resulted in the screen not turning on later the day..

i need it up and running asap because i got a job that need to be done fast and i cant make it on the other lathe since i dont have a 3 jaw chuck for that... and the parts are ø90mn.. :)

frustration is big.. i would hate to have to tell the custemer that i cant make the deadline..

Hey guys.. a small update.

After a week of repairing the okuma lathe its up and running.. i replaced the communication card and put in a LCD screen. and now its running like a champ and a big plus is that i dont have to wait 30-60 mins for the screen to boot up in the morning in the cold months..

big plus is i am very busy with work right now. right now i got work for the next two weeks almost.

A little update since I almost forgot about this thread.

I just got a brand new Dmg Mori in my shop. [emoji106]
