Looks like the old Lincoln style mills. Kinda like seeing fossils showing a fish become an amphibian become a reptile, etc. with features carrying over. Only in this case it's lathe design carrying into milling machines. Look at the bed, headstock, saddle/apron, QC gearbox. It all carry's over.

And it even comes with a Lincoln mill style outboard support. Straight outta 1850 or whatever.
