As an American who moved to Germany I am still not familiar with all the tooling venders here. I need a 70 degree carbide dovetail cutter and a 70 degree chamfer mill but I'm having trouble finding anything from the companies I usually buy from here. I know Harvey Tool in the US has what I need but they won't ship to Europe. Is there a company here in Germany that has a broad selection of specialty tools like Harvey tool?

Thanks!

If you end up making such a cutter, It is good/best to circle/cylindrical grind the taper and then back it off (add clearance) to bring up to a sharp edge. Good to tell the length of the 70* you need.
If it is a small enough part you will save money by surface grinding it by dressing the angle to a wheel or fixture the part at the angle. Just a bar clamped to an angle plate , and sliding the diamond dresser makes a quick angle wheel.

My great great grandfather on my mother's side was Burgermeister of Hamburg.

I've gotten 70 degree conical end mills from Conical Tool Co, who sells through MSC. I don't know if they ship to Germany, but it's a different vendor.

Also, Jens Putzier (who sells German tools to the US et al) may be willing to help: Jens Putzier Tools <[email protected]>
