Hi,

I have this 63mm cutter body (22mm arbor) that I thought was an older kennametal body but I cant seem to get it to line up with what I thought it was (!). Anyone recognize this ? I'd like to get more inserts but having trouble finding the right ones. They appear rectangular but the body has a slight parralellogram shape and I'm thinking the inserts are actually small degree parallelograms but I cant tell cuz they're worn and I'm not wanting to have to buy a new body just because I cant identify the inserts (though I might have to!). Putting the inserts on a surface plate they look very close to rectangular and might have a teenie tiny degree offset but I'm not sure if thats because of wear or not, or even if they are the right inserts LoL.

The used inserts currently measure (on the larger face) ~14.91mm by ~9.43mm (averaged). Diagonally they measure out pretty close to rectangular (but maybe thats because they are worn), but again, the cutter body definitely has an 'A' shape...

Any ideas ? I have searched for mathing inserts on various sites but no luck (or maybe I suck at finding this kind of stuff)...

Thanks !

Before APKTs Kennametal made milling cutters that used inserts like this in the XD and GDX series.
A XDCW-2.3... is 9.52 mm wide and 15mm long, 3.18 mm thick with a 15 degree side rake and is a 88 degree parallelogram.
XDMT the same size insert with more chipbreaker.
The dot 3 important as the 2.5 is bigger.
This is a old insert that did not sell a lot of volume.
