Need help with my new 10EE

Hey guys, started tearing apart the DC motor and my bell end doesn’t have an opening in it like Grants does. Any ideas on how to get this bearing/shaft out of the bell end?



Also, what are these bolts for?

Hey guys, started tearing apart the DC motor and my bell end doesn’t have an opening in it like Grants does. Any ideas on how to get this bearing/shaft out of the bell end?

Mine was the same way. You need to heat the end cap to loosen up the old hardened grease and the armature will come out.

The bolts likely hold the commutator together

I was able to get it off, but had to drill a hole in the end and press it out. Heat didn’t work.

Also, you think this bearing is original?

Guys, after putting the motor back together, I have this gap at the front shaft bearing. I don’t remember it being there when I took apart, but can’t be sure.

Is it normal?
