Well, yeah, if large pipe threads come into the mix, a Y would be of great use for sure....

...looks like a hell of a lathe for big tube, but might be better off with the original lower turret for most other work.
To be clear, you are looking for the part in the pic.
The pic is NOT of your machine?
Thanks for asking on my behalf, this is a SC-32, and I think the 2 axis models do have the turret I need as well. I have seen photos of units that have only the lower turret on them. There was another sold for parts at the same auction I bought mine that has everything I need (and then some) for spares, I'm trying to figure out who bought it so I can try to buy the parts before it might wound up getting sold for scrap. I'm hoping it was purchased for spares instead... it has the same control retrofit as mine so much is shared between the two, it is the short bed version though. I'm hoping they might come across this thread and PM me... you never know! The unit that you need, is that specific to a 4x machine?
Or would it be the same as a 2x?
I don't think that what he has is what you have.
He said 1SC and 2SC?
He's got 4.5" through.

I was never that big on w&s cnc's so don't bet the farm on this but I think the 1 and 2 SC's are like the 1 and 2 AC's and the WSC-6 and 8. They are more of a chucker where the tools go on a pentagon on a ram that moves in and out for z and x and rotates to change tools. There was a WSU 12 (and 15 ?) which was conventional and the number-SC's in two and four-axis which were more like the conventional dual-turret, typical-ways style that was common. So the 1's and 2's SC would not have the turret he wants.
But I wouldn't think that a #2 would deep throat a 4.5" bar?
It's a helpful website featureI have no clue where those line came from?
Did you ask the auctioneer?
They may pass info along. (they have done that for me once before)
I would not expect that they would give you their info tho.
@op -- You probably already know his but these guys specialize in W&S and say they have spare parts ...
