Not sure this is the right spot for this but i need help with wiring. I just bought my first mill, a central 981 that is running on 120v. I want to wire it for 240. Looks easy enough but there is a drum switch involved that throws me off. I have a Leeson 2hp motor, cat# 120067.00 and a Furnas j5 drum switch with forward, off and reverse. Current wire connections are L1 to t1 t3 and t8. L2 t2 t4 and t5. T5 and t8 are ising their own wire to go to the switch. Motor plate says for high voltage L1 to t1. T2 t3 and t8 connect and L2 to t4 and t5. Can i leave t8 and t5 connected in the switch where they are , tape t2 and t3 and thhen have t1 and 4 as line?? .
