I've seen a lot of chucks in my day but nothing like this before. It's an 8" Union 4 jaw independent chuck with integral D1-6 mount but it's sheathed in aluminum. Non sparking application? Jaws are hardened steel, body might be iron as it feels too light to be steel? A previous owner has faced the front and turned the OD but it still shows some dings and dents here and there. Jaws move smoothly and chuck appears to be in good shape. Asking $250 + shipping. I'd love to learn more about these clad chucks if someone knows about them. I've seen the typical iron and steel chucks plus some solid bronze and aluminum ones but never anything like this.
