Old Fanuc OM some keys not working...

Hi,
I bought an old Leadwell LCV-0 mill from 1986 with Fanuc OM control. Machine have not been used for many, many years and battery back-up was dead... Replaced batteries and try to start the machine. As expected, there are some error message due to parameters lost. I am a complete newbie, but have always wanted to have a mill to make some simple parts mainly for cars. Try to enter parameters, but it doesnt respond to the arrow up or down keys, not all numbers work always either, only sometimes. The input key worked once. Only managed to edit the first line from 0 to 1 just to test. 0 doesnt work, so can not revert the change. Anyway, removed the keypad and measured the buttons, some are open constant and some works. Some works sometimes...
Anyone cleaned these? Tried gently to remove the yellow membrane pad, but was stuck and didnt dare to pull harder..

You can try some electrical contact cleaner.

Can pick it up at autozone or about anywhere, too.

Beyond that, as mentioned, they should be relatively cheap on ebay.

Thanks, really weird because checked switches again today after it have been kept at room temperature for a day, and all works fine... Forgot to mention that it is very cold where the mill is located. about 5-10 degrees celsius...
Anyway, bought CRC contact cleaner pro and have now peeled open the yellow membrane at all switches and applyed some drops of crc into awitches. Will test it asap.

Success! Seems like all keys works now. Now I can alter parameters. Thanks
