ornamental cast iron welding

How do the ornamental iron fab shops weld the cast iron pieces that they buy to form the balusters, etc.? Gotta be mig, but what wire and gas and...?

they use whatever's in the machine.
that stuff's crudely made in the first place,so
.....just slop on the e70_ _ . the cast parts
don't usually get the load bearing jobs, anyway.

you can bet they don't use ni-99 at $2.50 a stick ($30/lb) !
