Trump got62,984,828 votes.
Thats not 50% of 320 million.
More like 20%.
- never waste a pandemic/recession? ''
With all the self isolation / whatever you call it, ……..couples and families cooped up for weeks on end - the divorce lawyers are gunna make a mint.
Sounds awful by itself, doesn't it, without looking at the whole picture?
The current population of the United States 1s roughly 330,000,000.
Trump got 62,984,828 or 46.1% of the popular vote. That's roughly 19% of the population.
Hillary got 65,853,514 or 48.2% of the popular vote. That's roughly 19.96% of the population.
She got 2,868,686 more votes than Trump.
If we abandoned the Electoral College as lefties demand Hillary would have been made President by a margin of less than one percent of the population.
Yet the children still cling to their fantasy, along with the Russia collusion hoax conspiracy theory.
No one needs to change the Electoral college really just because their candidate lost do they?
It needs to be changed because the person who gets seated in the WH lately always seems to be the loser.
Trust me, if a democratic president lost the popular vote and won the election, you'd be clamoring for the change.

I never did that.
This is a encouraging psalm for the ones who appreciate it. Briefly and once.;;;.. for these times.
Psalm. 91:
“
⁵Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
⁶Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
⁷A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand;
but it shall not come nigh thee.
⁸Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold
and see the reward of the wicked.“
Trying to parse that encouragement TT. Taken literally, 11,000 (1000 + 10,000) are going to die in this pestilence and destruction, but it's OK because - behold - they're wicked and deserve to die?
Or, OK because it's not us that are going to die? The whole thing will pass nigh us?
Or??
I do appreciate your sentiment; which is to encourage and deal with this without fear.
FWIW, last part of the Lord's prayer might do: " . . .Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.'" Would have been good advice back in 2008 as well.
