OT: What are Reaction Score and Points?

I see the like button but not a dislike button....or is the dislike the "report"
.
IMHO the like is for "Thanks I can use that" or "I agree with that."

My reaction score started at -141 and is now -143...

That is pretty ridiculous Bob is most often giving good information.
(anyone who doesn't like grinders should have his beer cut off.)

The dislikes don't actually do anything other than register your opinion as far as I can tell. They don't alter the count any.

They do if implemented properly. They can even be used to trigger an auto-ban of a member or hiding a comment if it gets enough negative reactions.

I was thinking its likely a complex algorithm that produces a score based on other than your reactions..........like for instance ,you are doing an important assessment and the pen runs out of ink.......the assessment is not the written test ,but if you lose it under pressure.........or you are directed to cupboard to get a new pen ,and when you return to your place, the test is changed and is now a memory test on what was in the cupboard.

If you ever notice, you get a Like and the score bumps up by one.
The report should be used for language or foul words.
