Good news.
I hope you can help each other.
Perhaps one of you could let us "spectators" know how it went.

Spurst,
You've had several people offer to quote you on this job. I've not seen any willingness on your part to take them up on the offer.
In your situation, very small quantities, very limited knowledge of machining, very few local resources, do you really want to put a lot of money into a machine tool that you're only going to use a few hours a month ?
You have nothing to loose, but a lot to gain to at least get some quotes, before you do anything else.
Shipping small quantities of parts is very cheap !
It doesn't really matter where your supplier is based, as long as it's not in China !
You've come here for advise; accept the advise you're getting, or move on.
Good luck,
Bob

I am waiting on a quote from several shops

Hi,
Maybe a bit off the wall but have China do the machining they do OK and then get someone reliable to do the press fit portion.
Almost anything you do will be more than China but You might get good parts this way. Another thought... interest rates are low right now... can you get a better price by increasing the lot size?
Just thinking out loud which usually gets me in trouble.
Good luck however you go at this.
