Lately because my straight-edges are back ordered from my foundry, I am telling folks now to check out this company as he makes and sells cast iron camelbacks. He sells casting practically cheaper then what I buy mine from the foundry. Students have brought them to the classes and they are nice and a real deal. He also sells other cast iron parts and teaches woodworking / pattern making classes.

Fwiw Gary Martin is well known in the HSM /Model Engineering world for providing very machinable, fine grain & defect free cast iron castings and has done so for many years. I honestly can't recall ever seeing a forum post with a single complaint about the company or any of their products.

Last I checked Gary Martin was the only source for a set of Quorn castings too. In Scappoose, Oregon next to the mighty Columbia River.

Thanks very much Richard! I shall wait until your class for advice on what length I should get.
