Hey forum people!
Happy holiday for all you guys.
Have a little issue with a new renishaw spindle probe and want to discuss here, maybe someone has any experience.
I have VF7/50 it’s a pre NG control.
I have a renishaw wireless probing system installed and the spindle probe has been messed. So I decided to use this option and bought a OMP60. Seller said it should work with my system (OMI-2H). But I can’t get it running. The receiver doesn’t see the spindle probe (but it does see tool probe). So I discovered that there was installed OMP40 instead of OMP60, but I asked seller about it he said better to get 60 probe because of the batteries type (so I can get them at any gas station and keep going, I agreed).
What could I do wrong? Did I miss something? Should I trigger the probe for some specific mode or not?
Very appreciate any comments!

The Renishaw instructions are a bit funny but they work. When you setup probe 1, it will overwrite any previously installed probe. Follow the light sequence to get it into pairing mode, took me about 10 times the 1st time. Got it paired in 3 trys the second probe.

Did you get both paired up - it would show 2 red lights on bottom when not in use. Or do you only have 1 red light- 1 probe registered.

If both probes are paired but #2 is not activating then look at your wiring and pin settings to make sure the pins are setup to how you wired it. They really do give you every option but that makes it a bit more difficult to get right.

Hey! Thank you very much! I just came back from the shop and you know what)) I paired it exactly as you said at 10th attempt)))) it’s weird but as soon as I create a thread here and waiting for someone to tell something I figured it out right when someone reply here)))) it’s up and running now. Thank you again very appreciate it!
