Can someone help me with a rigid tapping cycle on HAAS ST-10? I have turned on the rigid tap setting and have a basic G84 cycle. How do you program the tap depth for each time it enters the part?

The 'Z' in your G84 line sets the absolute Z depth from G54
In this case 'Z-.5'

This assumes you are using a rigid holder, NOT a tension/ compression holder.

When you say "each" time it enters the part, are you trying to rigid PECK tap? Rigid tapping will be synchronized, but still only going to go from top to bottom of your hole in one shot. Floating reamer holders work well for this. They don't have compression or tension motion, but you will get enough motion to allow for misalignment of the center of your bore to the centerline of the tap (assuming you are close to begin with). We have holders that can move .030" off center and also have 1 degree of angular compliance for Rego-fix that are ER32 with 1.25 and 1.5" shanks to go straight into boring bar holders.
