Rivett 1020s Clutch Shaft Bearing Retention

I am in the process of adding a new drive to my Rivett 1020s. The entire reeves drive was missing when I purchased the lathe and it was direct drive with the original motor.

I am replacing the bearings on the end of the clutch shaft but it seems like I am missing some kind of retention ring. The bearings just kinda float there and with the motor coupler disconnected, they slide in the bore when engaging the clutch.

I am wondering if someone can explain or post some pictures of how the bearings are supposed to retained.

Thanks as always,

Chris

So the answer I was looking for was ring groove bearings.

First time encountering these and someone replaced them with normal bearings on the clutch shaft. I figured this out upon disassembly of the other drive shaft which still had original bearings.
