Small Scale Riggers NH/MA

If you are not finding a small rigging company, that should tell you all you need to know. Either fork out the cash for the licensed/insured/bonded big boys, or hire a fly by night crew that might not deliver it un-broken, or do it yourself. A toe jack is $100, use it to get machine up on skids, build out-riggers into skid so it cannot tip, call in a rollback to winch it on and deliver to your door.

Thanks for the ideas that is the plan at the moment. Sunbelt rents the jacks, the place I am getting it from said I could remove myself and did not need to be insured. Thats the reason I was weighing my options for a small scale rigger. No need for the crane truck and police escort that some are suggesting.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I had figured the place wanted a insured outfit, since then I've been in contact with the facilities manager and he said if you got the help by all means do it yourself. So the skids and jacks seem to be the best bet. It is 25' from the door and weights 3.5k lbs. Only awkward portion is the ramp to the door on the sidewalk tilts towards a drain.

The Van Norman 22L I moved luckily had a full gantry crane above it and we used the trailer ramps built on block with rollers to position it on the trailer. Thats about my experience moving something like that.
