Small size test indicator

I am looking for a test indicator (1/2 thou graduations) that has a small compact size for getting into some hard to reach places. The overall length, face diameter, tip length, etc. all scaled down in size compared to a typical test indicator with a 1" diameter face (A long tip isn't what I'm in need of). Have any of you seen one or have experience with one?

These sort of questions, without drawings or pictures of what you are trying to measure, are unlikely to get satisfactory answers. As far as I can understand what you are asking for, you need a lever style (test indicator) that is compact enough to fit in small spaces, but still allows you to see the reading (which seems to me to be the real challenge here.) I assume the little pocket style is too big, my suggestion is to look at a remote display unit like a Mu-Checker (519-326) although it won't be cheap.

There's always more than one way to measure things, if an indicator doesn't fit, it's likely there's a better way to do what you are doing.

Starrett Last word?

Extra long indicator tips for regular test indicators? (you lose the .0005 unless you start out with a .0001)

Old school back plunger type indicator? (technically not smaller than any test indicator but may give you reach options a test doesn't give, generally not .0005)

Coaxial indicator (almost surely not .0005)
