Hello everyone. I have recently acquired an old lathe south bend. SN 35871K. Catalog number DDB300NK. I’m in need of some parts including new Saddle apron and compound with tool rest. Also a tail stock. I e looked up info about the numbers but I’m not getting any direct hits. Are the aprons somewhat interchangeable with these?

Post a pic or two of your machine. I makes things a little easier. How much of an apron do you need? Do you have anything left from the original?

I’m very green to metal working lathes. Much more familiar with woodworking. However we are using this to machine and check runout on motor/pump shafts. The adjustment rod and handle are damaged on the apron and the tail stock has no guts in it.

Would this be a heavy 10k?

Easy to tell. If the serail stamped in to the top of bed at right end ends with a K - as indicated in your post above - it is not a "heavy 10" which were "R" stamped
