Spindle bearing oil leak

When I add oil to the rear spindle bearing of my EE, it disappears from the sight glass in a couple of days. It is not running out onto the floor. Where is it going?

There is a little resevoir that holds about a half a cup of oil.The manual says 1 pint. The rear double row bearing has a hole in the bottom of the race and it basically sits in a little pool of oil. If that oil is not running out of the rear spindle seal which would be obvious, it is probably running over into the main headstock sump. There might be a layer of sediment in the little rear bearing resevoir, and the oil is flowing
up through the bearing and out into the headstock. There is a overflow in the headstock sump which empties out of oval hole in the front of the ways, to the chip-pan. Just a guess Daryl
