I have a similar set as this (read cheap import) that have worked great for years. They don't have the best grinding job done on them, but they are matched sets to less than .0004" (my personal set) and they are to size within .001" of nominal.

No doubt that you are paying for a name, but these were never made for a home or small shop I guess. More of a market for the inspection department of a shop that produces parts that have to be just right.
With my shipping and PayPal cost, it's good to know that I have them priced at what Chinese version cost!
