My take,
Pros: we have never had more for the work put in. This goes for the global population at large. We have the lowest poverty and starvations levels ever. We are going in the right direction. It was very few generations ago that my family hand cut wheat and hand flailed it just to try and store enough to eat.

Cons: none

Considerations:
1we need to change the education system to have the population understand how and where things come from. Learn to create/design and improve. Learn why we don’t need so much crap, (someone mentioned 5000 different ear buds page one, exactly my point)
2. Understand the importance of a nations self reliance where possible. All this “green” without considerations of the systems is insane IMO
Stop making everything and import it until your broke? Invaded? Just a silly sentiment.

With regards to robotization, it is a moral that caution us against mass joblessness, absence of power over dynamic methods, and the alarming situation where the bots are more astute than people and start to speak with one another in manners tremendous to individuals.

Funny that, of all posters, you should mention "Bots" ....:nutter:

People are concerned that robots will take their jobs. There's no denying that in the last decade, robots and automation have taken over the transportation, logistics, and warehousing industries at breakneck speed.
However, I believe that as long as a balance is maintained, there is nothing to be concerned about. For example, with India globalization, many cities now employ robots, which have proven to be a great help in complementing rather than replacing human labor.

In reply to 'cons' ask this question. The ethics of regulating the cost of labor, high taxes, labor lawsuits, intrusive government mandates, and any number of requirements that make human labor less attractive than automated systems.

You missed the simple fact that fewer and fewer of us are willing to put on our flipflops and go out and do the work in the first place, when was the last time you walked into a business without a help wanted sign? Even the ones with the "Store Closing" signs are having trouble finding enough help to go out of business.

Gobo replied to this post with WTF and fifty question marks, I guess to emphasize the question?

Anyway your last sentence, I think, is in regards to the Amazon (or Google I cant remember) Artificial Intelligence program that had to be shut down when it was learned that the machines created their own language to speak to each other. To me personally, that is some scary shit, though I may have watched too many Sci-fi movies in my day

The ethics of automation is that there are no ethics. Automation has been going on since the year dot. Think lathes with a wooden treadle, lathes with an electric motor, lathes with a turret, cam operated lathes and then CNC lathes. They all took jobs away. This is just one example, if you want more just think what has happened in the military.
