As you corrrectly observe, the knowledge and generosity here are amazing.

That means that the more you tell of what you are ultimately trying to do, instead of what roads you have been thinking of taking to get there, the better advice you will get.
A couple of caveats. Threads cut with a tap or die will probably not run true enough to support high-speed running of a tool in a chuck.
If you want to spin a polishing bob, you probably will be much better off with a polishing lathe, or even a small bench-grinder to mount it on.
Again, we can tell you sixteen ways to mount part A on tool B.. But that may not be your ultimate goal.

Mounting buff is 1 of my aims. If i could shrink my post in a one liner for you. I will ask; i just need to increase this said WEN's "clamping range" to 6mm (little more say 8mm even better). I will be grateful for any of the shelf solution for this!
