Tilt Seal Kit for Forklift

Looking for a couple tilt seal kits to rebuild my leaky Caterpillar V60B forklift. Haven’t had any success finding the replacement parts. Anybody know where I can get them?

You can always take the cylinders apart and match up new seals.

Have you done this work before? This isn't a day job even with all the right parts.

Make sure you get the seal installation tools as well.

If Cat cannot provide a seal kit, you have to take it apart and figure out what you need. IIRC Cat heavy equipment and forklifts are different divisions, and the heavy equipment side cannot provide forklift info or parts, you have to contact a Cat forklift dealer. If you really hussle, and everything goes right, you are looking at 1 day downtime minimum, any hiccups and it goes to 3 days or longer.

Its usually not a big job.....a lot of tilt cylinders can be left connected and the gland nut and rod /piston removed in a few minutes.

I don't know if this has been already mentioned, but we talked before as I have a cat v60b also. I have had good luck getting things I need for my forklift from HGM lift parts. I don't know about seals though but I call there and ask for April. Do you have any kind of manual for yours? Mike
