I brought home a lovely girl home, Heidenreich & harbeck 18 ro , but she’s giving me heartache here , what is this spindle set up , measures 76 mil across , don’t know what the slinger ( I guess is in the middle) and where in Gods creation will I be able to find a spindle nut to over the brass threads?

So if anyone has this set up, and was wondering like I was what’s going on .
This is a bronze sleeve bearing , the part missing is a nut with spammer slots on it , it threads over the bronze sleeve, this including the nuts on the inside are used to adjust the tension and squeeze or loosen the spindle. I am now removing the spindle to inspect everything ( hope the bearing is good)
Heard the bronze sleeve is very accurate , but boy oh boy wish it had roller bearings ( lot easier to source) if needed
