Well, there's a clue right there. For a start, I would be looking at the PMC Ladder to see what occurs when transitioning from Single Block to Auto Mode

Code was correct, turret move was not read. Boss angry, to add numerals was my only idea and still is.

On what Planet do you consider "better put a Sequence Number in there to fix that"? That's what I'm calling BS.

Well, when you have a machine, that you can repeat a potentially dangerous problem and you have no idea of how to trouble shoot the issue, you call in someone who can. I wouldn't be throwing the manifestly unlikely remedy of adding Sequence Numbers. I'm profoundly skeptical that solved the problem and if the issue magically disappeared contemporaneously with the addition of Sequence Numbers, it would be the greatest example of serendipity ever in the history of man.
