I have an old Tos Hostivar OD grinder which works fine.
I bought this at an auction and got it all fixed up and bought the 12" diamond wheel that comes with it, but then my machinist said we don't need it and has never once used it.

I've been trying to sell this on eBay and Craigslist for 4 years and only got 2 nibbles, despite steadily lowering the price from $2,000 down to $500. So I give up. If anyone here wants it, make an offer! Otherwise I'll pull the diamond wheel and send the grinder to the scrap yard.

These are awesome machines. I have the surface grinder brother to this one, built in 1975.

This machine looks to be about the same era, mid to late 70’s. TOS make excellent equipment- ubiquitous in Canadian shops.

Seems strange. Similar machines have sold for $12k+ at auctions I've attended.

Small later model ID/OD grinders are useful.

I bought my first cylindrical grinder (a small Italian ID/OD) 4 months ago and have found it to be very useful. Way better than trying to use a T&C grinder as a cylindrical grinder. Should have bought one 10 years ago.
