Transformer for Nardini MS1640E

I have a Nardini Mascote 1640e that I am going to run in my garage. I have an American Rotary AR15 RPC to convert to 3-phase but I need a transformer in between the RPC and the lathe to go from 220 to 440 per the nameplate on the machine. I have a 9KVA autotransformer on order but im having second thoughts. Does anyone know if this can be DELTA or does it need to be WYE?
