Checked my B model shaft and it is .874 diameter. A material known as shafting. If you end up making yourself one this will be good info.

Thanks for the info k3vyl. Does anyone know if a South Bend Heavy 10 underneath motor drive pulley (excluding the shaft) will be a direct swap for a 9A horizontal drive unit stepped pulley?B6E8498E-C93B-4CD8-8BA9-E62F271A573C.jpeg17CF25B3-705F-43B7-804A-AD7B3B129A16.jpeg

The pulleys on my B model are 9 1/2 and 9 15/ 16 diameter. This is a V belt driving a flat pulley, and works fine. It uses a V pulley on the motor. A B belt is used. A so called V/ flat drive.
