Wanted Clausing 8520 Mill .

Since there are people who spend literally years in the attempt to track down one of these machines, or one just like it, and you have come up with one in the space of less than 2 weeks - and "close to home" - it would be of interest to see some pictures of what you got. Info on condition and, if you are inclined, price would also be of significant interest. Thanks.

Hi ,Marty I found a Index model 40 ,I realized finding a Clausing mill was a long shot.

FWIW, I sold my 8520 last year for $3,300 including a 3-in Kurt vise, Servo 140 power feed on X, and a 3-axis inexpensive (but decent) DRO plus some odds and ends. The buyer drove around 350 miles one-way to pick it up. I was the second owner, the 1st was a pro machinist that used it in his basement for DIY jobs. The mill was in very good shape with not much wear on the ways or lead screws and I paid $2,500 for it around 25 years ago.20220709_141737.jpg.

Hi Mike, yup that is one fine mill that is just what I was looking for .The mill I bought is not as fancy as yours was ,But it does everything I have asked of it with no problems.
