Mid post he probably realized what he spent on cmm manager .. Got upset and closed his browser.
For as useful as my silver arm is .. Caliper 3d is just fine, when I think I need to use it.
With the advances in photgrammetry and inexpensive 3d scanners it makes faro's .003 in 8 feet more trouble than it's worth to setup and dedicate the space for it.

I am very happy and impressed with CMM Manager. It paid for itself in less than a year. I do a lot of reverse engineering for one of my customers. Often big stuff in his shop or on site. He is delighted with the results. The DXF export function is great. Also works just fine for checking parts. I will be buying another copy for my Brown & Sharpe 343 (DEVA conversion). I think CMM Manager was spun out of Nikon.

As a plan B, you should look into photogrammetry. Using a decent Digital SLR camera you can get equal tolerance results to the faroarm

Hello Everybody,
I have a perfectly working faro Silver arm made in 2005,but the grey box with the power supply is missing.
I was wondering if any of you has schematics about how to replace the original Box with the 12vdc power supply, I can easily use a 12V DC 4 amps power supply getting the 2 wires from the round cable, and the arm turns on no problem, the issue is in the round connector whihc is splitted in the box to the 12V going to the power supply, and to the RS232. I have downloaded the faro schematics about the cables for the silver arm which is giving a lot of information but is not for missing boxes).
Of any of you have the possibility to open the box and with a tester beeping check the connections and post a scheme I would be so grateful, I attached here a pdf file, is all clear on the round connector but it gets tricky to deviate the wires to a female rs232 connector. The cable I have is a Criss crossed Null, and it works on another arm I have.
Thanks so much to all of you.
Lucio
