Well in LA they are cutting out the middle man and looting cargo containers. "Supply Chains Threatened As Thieves Hit Cargo Shipments"
Anyone who is dumb enough to believe that video needs their head examined.
First there's a shot of a wall of graffiti with a bunch of cardboard boxes blown up against it. Whoa, what a shock. Train tracks in industrial areas are usually spic and span !
Then we see two darkly-complected fellows in brand new hoodies running alongside and jumping onto a freight. I've stood within touching distance of trains as they go by (touch each car, get a prize). Hopping on is not as easy as it looks. Right about now for some reason I am thinking ABC and the exploding gas tanks.
Then they supposedly cut the locks off containers and remove the goodies. Two people. In new walmart sweatshirts and jeans. Train a mile and a half long running 30 or 40 or 50 by now.
What do they do with the goodies next ? Has anyone here ever seen a microwave that's been thrown off a train at 30 ? You're not going to get even $10 for that on craigslist. And then what ? Their buddy in a new Dodge V10 diesel follows the tracks from LA to Phoenix picking up the smashed toaster ovens ? Without anyone noticing ? Which the thieves carefully removed from the boxes to make youtube unboxing videos, then threw the boxes next to the tracks for the news crew to find ? What are they going to do with this junk, sell them at the scrap yard for $1.50 each ?
And then this brilliant 23 year old unpaid intern tells us there is no warehouse space in LA so the rest of the country will have to miss Christmas. Excuse me miss but places like Lowes, Walgreen's, Macy's, Sak's Fifth Avenue, Nordstroms,
they have their own fucking warehouses and
they are near the cities they serve, not in LA.
Fuck me, what a bunch of dunderheads.
